Jackie Padilla, a McDonald's manager and volunteer police officer in Harrow, was awarded the 'Beyond the Call of Duty' Award by Mayor Ramji Kanji Chauhan for her outstanding community service. The award is part of the 'Harrow’s Heroes' program, which honors individuals making significant contributions to the community.
Viorel Schiopu Sentenced for Violent Assault on TfL Worker
A TfL worker at Harrow on the Hill Underground station was severely attacked by Viorel Schiopu, resulting in a brain bleed and fractured skull. Schiopu has been jailed for three and a half years for this unprovoked assault.
Justice Questioned as Ex-Rabbi Gets Suspended Sentence for Child Abuse Images
Yuval Keren, once a rabbi at Southgate Progressive Synagogue, was caught with 1,694 child sexual abuse images and has been handed a 20-month suspended jail sentence, avoiding prison.
Unexpected Downpour Delays Wealdstone-Billericay FA Trophy Clash
The Wealdstone vs. Billericay Town FA Trophy match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch caused by a thunderstorm. Originally cleared for play, conditions worsened, leading to the postponement. The match is now set for December 19th at The Vale, with existing tickets remaining valid.
