Tory MP Proposes Smartphone Ban for Under-16s to Combat Mental Health Issues

Miriam Cates, a Conservative MP, proposed banning under-16s from using smartphones. The suggestion is aimed at improving mental health among teenagers. The discussion was influenced by the case of Mia Janin, a 14-year-old who suffered from online bullying.

Shaida remains licensed to practise by the GMC, with no restrictions on private work. Hizb ut-Tahrir is banned in the UK and several other countries for promoting Islamic extremism.
