Harrow's New Pothole Squad Promises Quick and Sustainable Fixes
Harrow Council has launched a new initiative, creating a 'pothole squad' backed by ยฃ241,000 in funding. This effort, part of a significant road maintenance program across England, is aimed at efficiently addressing the widespread issue of potholes in the borough.
The initiative includes the use of a cutting-edge Pothole Pro JCB machine, capable of fixing a pothole in just eight minutes. This machine, valued at ยฃ165,000, is designed to offer permanent repairs by recycling existing surface material, thereby minimizing waste and reducing net emissions.
Edgware Tenant Battles Heating and Antisocial Issues in Peabody Flat
A Peabody tenant in Edgware faces issues with heating, fly-tipping, and antisocial behavior. โAlexโ complains about ineffective heating, cannabis smoke affecting their child, and fly-tipping. Peabody's responses have been unsatisfactory, with no compensation offered to the tenant. Peabody plans to address the heating and cleaning issues, claiming no further antisocial behavior reports.
Travelers Alert: Major Weekend Changes for TfL Rail and Bus Services
This weekend, passengers traveling in London are advised to check their routes before traveling due to scheduled engineering works and adjustments to services. Significant disruptions are expected across several London Underground lines, the Overground, and the Elizabeth line, while the Trams and DLR will operate normally.
Harrow's Major Regeneration Projects Receive Green Light
Harrow's regeneration plans have been given the green light, with new business plans set to deliver quality, affordable family-sized homes, green spaces, and public areas. The London Borough of Harrow and Wates Residential's joint venture will focus on transforming three key council-owned sites in the borough's Opportunity Area.
These sites include the Councilโs old headquarters at the Civic Centre on Station Road (Poets Corner), an old driving school next to the Leisure Centre (Byron Quarter), and the Grange Farm estate in South Harrow.
