Harrow is gearing up for a significant step towards combating anti-social behaviour with the implementation of a renewed borough-wide protection order. This initiative, receiving backing from Harrow Council, the local police, and various community organizations, aims to preserve the cleanliness and safety of public areas throughout the borough.
Havdalah at Home: The Ark Synagogue's Online Service Reaches 200th Ceremony
The Ark Synagogue, previously known as Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue, recently celebrated a significant milestone with its 200th online Havdalah service, a tradition that commenced with the onset of the lockdown in March 2020.
This weekly virtual gathering has become a beacon of comfort, care, and community for participants stretching from Middlesex in the UK to Tamil Nadu in India, according to Rabbi Aaron Goldstein. Initially adapting to various time zones, the services are now consistently held at 5pm GMT to accommodate a global congregation.
Operation Retail: Harrow's New Front in the Fight Against Shoplifting
Harrow Town Centre's police force has enhanced their collaboration with local businesses to tackle retail crime. The Greenhill Neighbourhoods Team visited 15 shops, distributing crime prevention packs as part of Operation Retail. This initiative, supported by the National Business Crime Centre and incorporating The ShopKind campaign, focuses on preventing retail crime and violence against staff, fostering a safer community environment
Stylish Shared Ownership Homes Now Available in Wembley’s Arc Development
Arc, a new housing development in Wembley, offers stylish and practical one and two-bedroom Shared Ownership apartments, each featuring a balcony and designated cycle storage. These apartments are designed with contemporary specifications, including Zanussi appliances, large windows, high ceilings, and a choice of kitchen color palettes.
The development is conveniently located near Wembley Park and Wembley Stadium train stations, providing easy access to London's landmarks, leisure activities, and green spaces. Prices start from £89,375 for a 25% share of a one-bedroom apartment, with full market values of £357,500.
