Labour Councillor Krishna Suresh has been instrumental in driving initiatives to improve safety, cleanliness, and support in Rayners Lane. Through collaborations with council officers, the Met Police, and local schools, efforts have been made to address community concerns such as safety, substance abuse, and fly-tipping. New road safety measures and CCTV installations are among the steps taken to enhance the area's well-being.
New B&M Store in Harrow: A Haven for Bargain Hunters
Harrow celebrated the grand opening of its new B&M store at the St George’s Shopping Centre, attracting hundreds of shoppers. The store, which occupies the large, two-story space formerly held by Woolworths and Wilko, is among the largest B&M stores in London. A local charity, Harrow Giving, had the honor of opening the store, which offers a wide variety of products across its 32,000 square feet of retail space.
£3 Billion Boost for Affordable Housing Promises 20,000 New Homes
The UK's affordable homes scheme receives a £3 billion funding boost, aiming to create 20,000 new homes and improve the quality of existing housing stock.
