Wembley Park's Artistic Landscape Flourishes with Addition of New Studios

Wembley Park will soon welcome an expansion of affordable artist workspaces, with 56 new studios accommodating up to 80 artists. This initiative, a collaboration between Quintain and Second Floor Studios & Arts, builds upon a successful partnership that began in 2016.

The expansion not only provides significant additional studio space but also supports over 60% of artists from the Brent area. The studios are designed to foster a creative community, featuring accessible spaces for work, collaboration, and exhibitions. This effort underlines the commitment of Quintain, Second Floor Studios & Arts, and Brent Council to nurturing the local artistic talent and culture.

Civic Action in Hatch End: Councillor & Residents Demand Infrastructure Fix

Councillor Matthew Goodwin-Freeman of Hatch End has taken action by submitting a petition with nearly 200 signatures to the Harrow Council, addressing concerns over the poor condition of local pavements and roads. This initiative, driven by community support and incidents of injuries, aims to prompt the Council into taking swift action to repair the long-neglected infrastructure.

The petition, backed by a significant portion of the affected residents, underscores a unified demand for improvements and accountability, reflecting the community's engagement and anticipation for positive change.

Homeowners are advised to inspect their boilers for these warning signs, as ignoring them could lead to safety risks and increased costs.
