Harrow Woman Jailed for Making Over 2,000 Nuisance 999 Calls
Sonia Nixon, from North London, has been jailed for 22 weeks after making over 2,000 unnecessary calls to 999 using 17 different mobile numbers. Her actions placed her as one of the top repeat callers, significantly burdening emergency response services. Nixon was also convicted for racially aggravated offenses during her arrest. She is now under a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order, limiting her use of the emergency line to genuine crises only.
Proposed Harrow Development to Transform Car Wash into Flats, Sparks Local Concern
A new development proposal seeks to convert a vacant Harrow car wash into 13 flats and two commercial units without providing affordable housing, citing financial non-viability. While addressing local housing needs, the project faces criticism over potential impacts on neighborhood density and public services. Harrow Council's planning committee is reviewing the proposal, which includes sufficient parking and cycling facilities, and is deemed in keeping with the local area's character by council officers.
Plan Your Perfect Evening: Boyz II Men Concert at Wembley
Fans of Boyz II Men, mark your calendars! The iconic group is set to perform at Wembley Arena, offering a range of seating options to accommodate various preferences and needs. It’s important to note the layout of the venue to ensure all attendees have the best possible experience. The arena's seating is categorized into several blocks:
Blocks A and B: These are flat seating areas. Patrons should note that others may stand during the performance, possibly obstructing views.
Blocks C and D: These blocks are tiered and situated behind Blocks A and B, providing a better view over standing patrons.
Block E: Known as the East Terrace, this section is also tiered, though higher rows might not be ideal for those uncomfortable with heights or managing many steps.
Blocks N and S: These side seating areas of the arena are tiered. Seats in even-numbered bays, such as N6, are located in the lower tier, whereas odd-numbered bays, like N7, find themselves in the upper tier, which may not be suitable for those who have difficulty with steps or heights.
