Brew York Recalls Juice Forsyth Over Explosion Risk
Brew York is recalling its Juice Forsyth product due to reports of over-carbonated cans potentially exploding. The affected 440ml cans have the batch code Gyle 1036 and a best-before date of July 23, 2024. The Food Standards Agency advises consumers not to drink the product, dispose of it safely, and contact Brew York for a refund.
Cyber-Attack Spares Northwick Park Hospital Amidst London Disruptions
Northwick Park Hospital remains unaffected by a recent cyber-attack that has caused major disruptions at several other London hospitals. While hospitals like Kingโs College Hospital, Guyโs and St Thomasโ, and the Royal Brompton have declared critical incidents, Northwick Park and other hospitals under the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust continue to operate normally.
New EV Charging Points Rolled Out in Eastcote, Ruislip, and Northwood
Hillingdon Council has introduced new electric vehicle (EV) charging points in Eastcote, Ruislip, and Northwood. The initial rollout includes 46 new chargers, with 24 at new locations and 22 replacing old ones. The network features 7-kilowatt chargers and will soon add 14 rapid charging points. Funding has been secured for a second phase to add 36 more charging points. HillingdonFirst cardholders receive a discounted rate for charging.
Young Adults Slammed by Gout: The "Rich Man's Disease" Strikes Again
Gout, historically known as the "disease of kings," is on the rise among young people, with a 30% increase in cases among those in their 20s and 30s. Often starting as pain in the big toe, gout is now the most common type of inflammatory arthritis in the UK, affecting one in 40 people. Health professionals emphasize the need for vigilance and faster intervention to manage the condition, which is often not taken seriously enough.
Transformative Health Benefits of a 14-Day Sugar Detox
Eliminating sugar for 14 days can bring several health benefits, including reduced sugar cravings, stabilized blood sugar levels, less fatigue, loss of excess water and fat, enhanced mood and cognitive function, better skin, and reduced stiffness. Dr. Eric Berg highlights these changes, emphasizing the shift from sugar burning to fat burning, which leads to these positive outcomes.
