High-Speed Broadband Coming to Wembley and Surrounding Areas
Forty-one locations in London, including areas like Wembley, Harlesden, and Kingsbury, are set to receive faster broadband internet connections through an Openreach full fibre broadband upgrade. This expansion is part of a £15 billion project aimed at enhancing the UK's broadband infrastructure, making gigabit-capable technology available to 25 million homes and businesses by the end of 2026.
Celebrate Harrow’s Local Champions: Nominate for 2024 Awards
Nominations are open for Harrow's Heroes 2024, celebrating individuals and teams who make Harrow a special place to live and work. The awards are open to those living or working in Harrow, excluding councillors, previous winners, and London Borough of Harrow staff. Nominations close on July 28, with the event taking place in September.
Best Routes to Exit Wembley Stadium After Events
Exiting Wembley Stadium quickly involves knowing the best routes and transport options. Use Wembley Park for the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines or Wembley Central for the Bakerloo line and London Overground. Wembley Stadium station is closest, just 400 meters away. Bus routes 83, 92, 182, 223, 440, and 483 also serve the area. For parking, reserve spots in advance. Avoid peak traffic hours for taxis.
How to Determine Which Side of the Garden Fence is Yours
Garden fences often cause disputes between neighbours regarding responsibility. It's commonly believed that the left boundary is yours or determined by the fence's direction, but these methods are unreliable. The definitive way to identify ownership is through the property's title deeds, indicated by a 'T'. Shared fences, marked by an 'H', require mutual maintenance. Disputes can be resolved through the Land Registry or legal advice.
