Brent’s South Kilburn Redevelopment to Add 250 New Homes, Reduces Social Housing
Brent's latest redevelopment plans for South Kilburn propose 250 new homes across four blocks, reducing the number of social housing units from 150 to 109. The project, part of a broader 15-year regeneration effort, aims to transform the area into a sustainable, mixed-use neighbourhood with improved public spaces, retail facilities, a primary school, and health services.
The redevelopment is focused on modernizing the area while addressing the need for affordable housing, though it has faced criticism for the reduction in social housing units.
