Planning Your Weekend Journey? Check Out These TfL Line Closures (Sept 20-22)

This weekend, multiple planned TfL closures will affect the London Underground, Overground, and Elizabeth Line. On Friday, September 20, services on the Overground between Stratford, Richmond, and Willesden Junction, as well as Barking Riverside and Gospel Oak, will be impacted.

The Waterloo & City line will have no weekend service. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be no Metropolitan Line between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge, or Piccadilly Line between Acton Town and Uxbridge, with replacement buses available. Sunday will also see reduced Elizabeth Line services between Paddington and Heathrow/Maidenhead, along with further Overground disruptions between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside or Woodgrange Park.

Drivers to Face Increased Fines Under New Parking Rules

New parking fee bands are being introduced in parts of England, significantly increasing penalties for parking violations. Starting from 2025, fines for higher-level contraventions will rise from £110 to £130, and lower-level fines from £60 to £80. This move aligns with broader traffic management strategies aimed at reducing illegal parking and encouraging more responsible use of street space. The changes could impact drivers across multiple regions, with many councils adopting similar measures.
