Flash Flooding Leaves South Ruislip Residents Battling Rising Waters
South Ruislip experienced severe flooding after heavy rainfall caused water levels to rise significantly, impacting homes and businesses. Local residents reported extensive damage, with floodwaters entering houses and covering streets, especially around Yeading Brook. The flooding, deemed the worst in 40 years by some, has raised concerns about the effectiveness of previous flood prevention measures. Old Oak Station Clay Transformed into Plates for HS2 Event
HS2 staff recently dined at Old Oak Common on plates and bowls made from clay excavated during construction of the new station.
